About
Lake Woozoo can be best described as a dynamic music production studio operated by a team of creatives with management skills.
As a team we are fluid in our connection with artists and clients, through various roles: from producing an EP to full A&R management, or focusing on specific things like additional mixing, co-writing or consultancy. We also collaborate with upcoming producers, songwriters and self-made artists to help them execute their projects.
With the presence of our production- and writing studios, our office and the connected bed & breakfast, we love to host writing camps, residencies and live video sessions. We do all of this as a small team, with a shared, never-ending passion for creating music, hospitality and developing products. This all leads to a very cherished and warm community, that we’re excited to commit ourselves to everyday.
Although we do listen to a lot of different music genres, we come from a place of 'left field pop', being influenced by indie, hiphop, alternative r&b and electronic music. We love catchy hooks as much as weird sounds with attitude, but we especially love them combined. That's why we often get inspired by the type of artists that accidentally turned into pop stars.
Our productions are very detailed, giving the songs additional texture and color to help tell the story. Our workflow is flexible, hopping from plugins to outboard, from electronic beats to well engineered and arranged instruments, from doing everything in-house to putting together a dream team of specialists to get the job done.
Having a broad expertise in both the creative and business field, Lake Woozoo is here to structure the chaos and bring chaos to structure.

From deep involvement in songwriting, arrangement and producing, to quick and inspiring writing sessions that spark new creative ideas. We've crafted music for a wide range of applications, from theater and installations to commercials, films, campaigns and corporate events. We thrive on the challenge of transforming complex ideas into a sonic reality. As a boutique music production studio, we like to stay true to our own taste and intuition. That being said, we're very open to exploring all kinds of music and ideas. And we love collaborating with fellow musicians and artists within our community if desired.
We’ve produced music for companies such as BMW, Bol.com, Randstad, Table Du Sud and Moonback. Some of our partners are Blue Luna, Clear Music and The Oval Office.

As our headquarters continues to grow into a creative hub and hot spot, we're excited about facilitating our studios for writing camps, residencies, and upcoming producers/artists.
Our versatile spaces feature a cozy bed & breakfast with five bedrooms, a flexible office/chill-out area, a fully-equipped studio complete with a wide range of instruments and microphones, as well as another production studio filled with unique synths, quirky drum machines, and all kinds of electronic music gear.

Development
Make 360 development cool again! In today's landscape, it's becoming more and more common to take on traditional label work independently. Extensive artist development brings together all of our passions: scouting talent, developing music (studio/live), assembling the right creative and business teams, and coordinating creative choices on the path to release.
We are currently working on several projects, including the hip-hop/alt-pop group Wolfskers, which first saw the light of day in 2023.
A&R Management
Over the past few years, we've been actively engaged in the talent development ecosystem of the Northern Netherlands. Through our strong partnerships with cultural organizations across different cities, we've established a substantial network that allows us to have a comprehensive overview of the incredible talent in the region. We are involved in various programs, including Wisselstroom, Wurdspoken, Link Up Euro Connection, and Hit The North, where we play a role in program development, facilitation, coaching or as a project lead.
We work closely with respected organizations like ESNS, Music Cities Network, Popfabryk, and Noordstaat.
